Overview
Most design systems fall apart because the design files and the code slowly diverge, so we build both in parallel. We define colours, typography and spacing as tokens your front end can import directly, so changing a brand colour no longer means searching through stylesheets. We create around 40 components with variants and responsive layout inside your design tool, and check accessibility as we go instead of fixing it at the end. Your designers and engineers finish speaking the same language.
What you receive
- Design tokens for colour, typography, spacing, corner radius and shadows
- About 40 components, each with its variants, interaction states and responsive layout
- Exported tokens in CSS variable form, or packaged as utility-framework configuration
- Guidance on when each component should and should not be used
- An accessibility review of WCAG AA contrast and keyboard focus
- Light and dark themes both generated from a single token set
- A joint hands-on session bringing together design and front-end engineering staff
How it runs
-
Step - 01
Audit
We catalogue every component and style your product currently uses.
-
Step - 02
Define
Design and engineering jointly agree on tokens and naming rules.
-
Step - 03
Build
Components are created, documented and reviewed together in small batches.
-
Step - 04
Pilot
One real screen is rebuilt with the library to prove it in practice.
Timeline: 20 working days, counted from the day we receive what we need from you.
Is it a fit?
A good match for
- Product teams where buttons look different on nearly every screen
- Companies expanding from a lone designer into a larger design team
- Front-end teams maintaining several competing style sets at once
What we need from you
- Access to existing design files plus the repository holding front-end code
- Design and front-end engineering representatives who can join the sessions
- Final brand colours and fonts, if these are still undecided
Why it helps
- Designers and engineers use identical terms, so handoff is straightforward
- Fresh screens come together from existing pieces rather than blank canvases
- Accessibility comes baked into each component, not patched after launch
Questions
Exported tokens plus a single rebuilt pilot screen are included. Writing every component in code is a separate piece of work, which we can scope on request.
Not at all. We apply your tokens and conventions on top of that existing kit, which is usually the most sensible approach.
Through clear ownership and a lightweight review habit, both discussed in the final session. Libraries tend to decay from neglect, not from badly built components.
