Refund & Cancellation Policy

This page sets out when a service can be cancelled, what share of the fee you get back as the work progresses, and the time a refund needs to land. We recommend reading it before placing an order.

Last updated 28 September 2026

01How we think about refunds

Every service has a set scope and a published price, which lets us settle refunds by rule instead of by bargaining. Two ideas guide everything on this page.

  • You only pay for completed effort. Before anyone is assigned, we have earned nothing, so a cancellation at that stage gets the whole amount back. After work begins, the portion already done is charged and the balance is returned.
  • We carry the cost of our own shortfalls. Should the deliverables fall short of the service page, or a committed date go by with no warning from us beforehand, you receive the entire fee back.

Business results sit outside this policy. We answer for the deliverables, the quality of the work and our agreed dates, but we make no promise about revenue, adoption, investment or performance metrics.

This policy is published to meet the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. None of it narrows the statutory protections that India law gives you as a buyer.

02Cancelling before work starts

The full amount comes back, nothing is deducted and you need not explain why. Kickoff is the moment work is assigned and gets under way. It only happens once we have your payment, your finished project brief and whatever access the service page requests.

  • Email us from the address used for the order and mention the order number, or simply reply to the confirmation email.
  • A cancellation only counts once you have our written confirmation. No confirmation yet? Assume the order is still live and get in touch again.
  • Unpaid orders lapse by themselves after 7 days, so no action is needed on your part.
  • Picked the wrong service by mistake? We can swap it for the right one instead.

We may also cancel and fully refund an order on our own initiative: if the service will not fit what you need, if we are unable to assign people within the published timeframe, or if an error in the listing surfaces before work starts.

03Refunds once work has begun

After kickoff, the amount returned depends on how far along the service was at the point you asked us to stop. Each percentage is applied to the sum you actually paid for that service, GST included.

Where the work standsAmount returned
Payment made, brief still to come100%
Brief in hand, nobody assigned yet100%
Kickoff held, no commits or outputs shared so far75%
Under way, with early outputs shared or initial commits pushed50%
Beyond the midpoint, with most deliverables in place25%
Handover finishedNot refundable; the 15-day defect remedy, plus any revision round shown on the service page, still applies
A committed date passed and we gave no prior notice100%
Deliverables differed from the service page and we could not put them right100%

When you stop, you receive everything built up to that point, as it stands, with documentation covering what exists. Partial work is never held back while a refund is being discussed.

For a monthly managed-support service cancelled partway through a month, we refund the remaining unserved days and round the figure in your favour.

04Advisory calls and written reviews

Brief advisory services, for example a call about architecture, or a written assessment of your code or spending, cannot be refunded after delivery, since what you are buying is specialist time and the advice itself.

  • Give us more than 24 hours of notice before a booked call to cancel or move it, and choose either a full refund or another slot.
  • Late cancellations inside that 24-hour window, and missed calls, count as a delivered session.
  • Should we miss or move the call, the choice between a new time and a full refund is yours.
  • A written review counts as delivered when the document lands with you, and is fully refundable up to then.

If our advice turns out to be plainly incorrect, let us know and we will put it right free of charge. If we realise ahead of a call that it will not help with your question, we will say so and give your money back.

05Defining non-delivery

You are owed the whole service fee back if any of these happens:

  • something the service page lists as a deliverable never reached you, and no change was agreed in writing;
  • a committed delivery date went by, nothing was handed over, and we had not warned you in advance;
  • the work handed over falls materially short of the service page description and we were unable to fix it;
  • you cannot use the work because we did not hand over the notes or access you would need to run it;
  • we halted partway through and are unable to restart within a reasonable period;
  • you paid for a service we then turned down, or for an order we never confirmed.

Non-delivery does not cover hold-ups on your side, a third-party provider’s outage or policy change, or work that behaves as described yet is not what you pictured. The first two stop the clock; the last one is a question of scope, dealt with in section 7.

06We try fixes before refunds

When a deliverable exists but is not quite right, correcting it tends to be quicker than a refund followed by a fresh order.

  • Where the service page offers a revision round, start there, inside the window shown on that page, and gather all your requests into a single list.
  • Revisions polish the delivered work within the agreed scope. Altering the brief itself counts as a change request and is priced on its own.
  • If we cannot make the work match the service page, section 5 entitles you to your whole fee back.

In addition, if you tell us about a material defect we caused within a 15-day window from handover, it is repaired free of charge through the defect remedy that our Terms of Service describe.

07Situations with no refund

  • We supplied the deliverables as described, yet the business or technical result fell short of your hopes.
  • Metrics like revenue, adoption, uptime, latency or search ranking improved less than you had wanted.
  • After handover, an outside platform altered, retired, rate-limited or suspended a feature.
  • The hold-up came from access, environments, sign-offs, test data or feedback that we were still awaiting from you.
  • Once work was under way, you switched direction, moved platforms, reorganised or put the project on hold.
  • Your own team or a different supplier altered the work after handover, and it broke as a result.
  • You raise the claim later than 15 days from handover, except where a payment error is involved.
  • Third-party spending you approved has already been incurred, for instance on cloud usage, paid quotas, subscriptions or licences. Those costs never formed part of our fee.
  • We stopped the work because the acceptable use rules laid down by our Terms of Service were breached.

08How long refunds take

StageHow long
Your request is acknowledgedWithin 24 working hours
We review it and reach a decision3 working days or less from acknowledgement
An approved refund is initiated2 working days or less after we decide
Your bank or UPI app shows the creditA further 5–7 working days from initiation
OverallUsually between 7 and 12 working days
  • Every refund goes only to the method you paid with, in Indian Rupees, back to the identical card or UPI handle. Sending it to a different account is not possible.
  • The GST you paid is returned too, and we raise a credit note against your original invoice.
  • You receive the refund reference the moment we initiate it.
  • Nothing received a full 7 working days on from initiation? Share that reference with us so we can chase the payment gateway.
  • We never take a processing fee out of a refund.

09Asking for a refund

  1. Email info@cartzuno.net using the address you placed the order with.
  2. Mention the order number (such as CZ260917ABCDE) and a short explanation of what went wrong.
  3. Attach anything that backs it up, for instance screenshots, the deliverable itself, a pull request, the relevant emails or the missed date.
  4. Say which outcome you prefer, whether that is a fix, a revision round, moving to another service, or your money back.

The contact form works too. Account holders can begin from the order inside your dashboard, where the payment reference and order number already appear.

One named person looks after your request from the acknowledgement on, so there is no need to repeat yourself.

10Payment failures and double charges

  • Payment failed: the order is not confirmed and no money should leave your account. Should your bank place a temporary hold, it usually lifts in 5–7 working days.
  • Money taken but the order still says unpaid: wait 48 hours, then share the UPI reference along with your order number. After checking with the gateway, we will confirm the order or return the full amount, whichever you choose.
  • Charged twice for one order: we refund the extra charge in full the moment it is spotted. If we catch it before you do, we will return it and tell you.
  • Bought the wrong service and let us know ahead of kickoff: we will swap it or refund it, whichever suits you.

Please talk to us about any payment issue before you file a chargeback. Chargebacks lock the order and generally take far longer to sort out.

11Orders containing multiple services

We look at each service in an order separately, based on the stage it has reached. The rest are unaffected when one is cancelled.

  • If a discount covered the entire order, we split it proportionally across the services before working out the refund.
  • If you ordered more than one unit of a single service, any unit not yet started is fully refunded, even while another unit is under way.
  • We issue a separate credit note for each service, in line with the tax invoice.

12Challenging our decision

If you think we got it wrong, escalate the matter by writing to our Grievance Officer, Kumbhakonam Muniraja and Prasad Bandi Reddy, at info@cartzuno.net. We acknowledge within 48 hours and send a full reply within 15 days. Those limits come from the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, read with the Information Technology Rules, 2021.

Still unresolved after our final reply? Our Grievance Redressal page names the outside bodies available to you, for example the National Consumer Helpline, or the consumer commission that covers the area where you live.
