Overview
A single hour can resolve a genuine design problem, as long as the groundwork happens beforehand. You share diagrams, a written outline or repository access, and we work through all of it before we meet. That leaves the whole session free for the decision you are facing, whether it is splitting up a monolith, handling a scaling limit or weighing up a platform you are considering. Afterwards your team keeps the recording and receives notes that set out our recommendation.
What you receive
- A recorded video session lasting 60 minutes, which you keep
- Time spent studying your material before the session begins
- Written notes giving our recommendation and why we reached it
- Every option considered, with its trade-offs spelled out
- Suggested next steps, each with an estimated effort range
- One follow-up round of written questions after the session

Is it a fit?
A good match for
- Teams facing a major design decision without experienced guidance available
- Founders deciding between building a capability themselves and purchasing one
- Engineering leads who want a plan challenged before committing
What we need from you
- Whatever documentation exists, plus repository access where it is relevant
- A plain description of the choice your team must make
- The right attendees present, among them the person with final say
Why it helps
- Experienced design input with no extra salary
- Advice on paper that can travel around your organisation
- Trade-offs surfaced while changing course is still inexpensive
Questions
Up to five. Bigger groups tend to dilute the discussion, so we suggest bringing the people closest to the decision.
You can book another session, or we can put together a brief consulting scope. We will suggest whichever suits the problem better.
If you go on to order a build from us within 30 days of the session, we normally deduct this fee from that project.
