Exposed Key and Package Cleanup

We hunt down secrets hidden in your code history, rotate the live ones and add scanning so new leaks are blocked early.

  • 6 working days
  • Scope published below
  • GST included
  • Ref. CZ-SC-105

Overview

If your repositories have never been scanned, there is probably a live password or API key buried somewhere in the history, and removing the file today does not erase old commits. We comb through every commit in your repositories, test which secrets still grant access, and plan a rotation order that avoids outages. We also look at your third-party packages, flag outdated ones with known flaws, and give you a realistic upgrade order. Finally, we add checks on developer machines and in your build pipeline so the next leak is caught at review.

What you receive

  1. Full commit history searched across up to 20 of your repositories
  2. Still-valid secrets verified and ranked for rotation by urgency
  3. Secrets moved out of code into a managed secrets store
  4. Vulnerable packages listed along with a practical upgrade sequence
  5. Pre-commit checks plus build-pipeline scanning that stop fresh leaks
  6. An automated package update tool configured with sensible grouping
  7. A short secrets-handling guide written for your developers

How it runs

  1. Step - 01

    Search

We sweep every branch and the full commit history for exposed keys and passwords.

  2. Step - 02

    Validation

Each discovered secret is checked to confirm whether it still grants access.

  3. Step - 03

    Rotation

Live secrets are replaced in an order designed to avoid any downtime.

  4. Step - 04

    Safeguards

We add scanning, commit hooks and automatic package updates to stop repeats.

Timeline: 6 working days, counted from the day we receive what we need from you.

Is it a fit?

A good match for

  • Teams who have never checked their code history for secrets
  • Companies about to give contractors access to private code
  • Anyone who has postponed package upgrades for over a year

What we need from you

  • Read access to all in-scope repositories, archived ones too
  • Someone able to reset credentials across every linked service
  • A short slot for rotating secrets that production depends on

Why it helps

  • Live secrets cleared from code where they never belonged
  • Vulnerable packages identified, with a clear order for upgrades
  • Future leaks blocked on the developer's machine before they are pushed

Questions

It is possible, but rewriting history disrupts every existing copy of the repository. Rotating the secret is usually safer, and we will explain the best option for your situation.

Assume it has already been seen and rotate it at once. We put any publicly exposed secrets at the top of the list on the first day.

Yes, for the common package ecosystems your projects use, as long as you give us read access to the registry or mirror.
