Overview
Small teams rarely have anyone senior available to check their riskiest changes. You point us at the pull request, or share a patch file, and an experienced engineer works through it in order of importance: correctness, then failure paths left unhandled, then overall structure, and finally the finer details. Notes are attached directly to the relevant lines, together with a brief recommendation on whether to merge. We review what you have written; we do not rewrite it for you.
What you receive
- Line-level comments on one pull request, capped at 400 changed lines
- A final recommendation: merge, merge after changes, or hold back
- Every comment tagged as blocking, recommended or a matter of taste
- Failure scenarios we believe the change leaves unhandled
- Tests we think should be added before the change is released
How it runs
-
Step - 01
Access
You grant one reviewer repository access, or email us a patch file instead.
-
Step - 02
Inspect
A senior engineer reads the diff plus enough nearby code to judge it properly.
-
Step - 03
Annotate
Feedback is written straight onto the pull request rather than a separate report.
-
Step - 04
Respond
We reply once to your answers on the thread, keeping it conversational.
Timeline: 2 working days, counted from the day we receive what we need from you.
Is it a fit?
A good match for
- Solo developers or compact teams lacking an experienced reviewer
- Teams releasing a sensitive change, such as payments or login
- Founders who want a contractor's code checked independently before merging
What we need from you
- One reviewer login on your repository, or a patch that includes enough surrounding code
- A short explanation of the intended purpose of the change
Why it helps
- An experienced reviewer on a critical change, with no hiring needed
- Edge cases found before any user stumbles on them
- Feedback your developer can address without leaving their usual tool
Questions
Tell us the size before ordering. We will check whether it fits or propose breaking it up, rather than skimming a bigger change.
In yours, using a reviewer account that you set up and can remove whenever you like. We do not keep copies of your code.
Not under this service. We leave comments and your team makes the changes. If you would like the fixes written for you, request that as separate work.
